Galaxy Round sports a 5.7-inch 1080p curved OLED display unlike any existing handset - but the device will only be available in South Korea for the moment.
Samsung has opted for a leather-like back once again, while the device's thickness is 7.9mm and weighs just 154g - slightly less than the Galaxy Note 3.
The curved screen uses 'Round Interaction' when tilted on a flat surface to provide information while the home screen is off, including the date, time and missed calls.
Yesterday (October 8) it was reported that LG is mass producing curved batteries too, for use in a variety of tech products.
Galaxy Round will be available in South Korea from this week in a 'Luxury Brown' colour costing 1.09 million won, which is around £622.
The smartphone maker is yet to express any plans to make the handset available outside South Korea.
